Anatomy Live's dinner and dissection show returns to Glasgow next year

Glasgow diners with a macabre edge are being given the chance to enjoy their dinner with a side of blood and guts next year when the hugely popular Anatomy Lab Live returns to Glasgow.

Offering the chance for "dinner and a disection", next year's event, taking place in January 2020, is offering guests the chance to apply their cutting-edge research at the forefront of disease control.

Guests will step into a dining room that has been converted into the UK Home Office Contagion Protection Facility (CPF).

They will then enjoy their meal in a fully working quarantine and decontamination centre. In the centre of the room will be a quarantine tank and inside it a highly infected human specimen.

Following the two-course meal, the secure hatch will open where they will begin clinical trials, taking part in real life experimental methods before dissecting inner organs to identify the bacteria pathogen.

Sam Piri, CEO of ITAE Group said: “2020 will see guests develop an in-depth understanding of infectious diseases both in the community and the clinical setting.

"I am so excited about this concept as exploring the impact and extent of global pandemics, climate change and an anti-biotic resistant world feels so current and topical at the moment.”

Aimed at students, graduates and those with a macabre apocalyptic interest, this event will expose all you need to know about infection control and how to stay healthy.

Dean Thomas-Lowde, Director for Growth and Development said: "This is set to be a ground-breaking experience throwing light on real lab based clinical trials coupled with a complete human body dissection and already early bird sales are strong"

All tickets include full PPE, equipment to participate and a two course meal.

Next year's Anatomy Lab Live will take place on January 3 and 4 at The Village Hotel.

Tickets are priced from £72.99 and can be purchased HERE .
