The title of this comprehensive but sprawling documentary is slightly misleading. It is Malcolm McLaren who is the main event here. Vivienne Westwood is little more than an extended footnote in the story of a man who, the film argues, didn’t receive the creative recognition he deserved. Unwieldy, clumsily edited and overlong, this is nevertheless a fascinating account of the cultural climate that ignited the punk movement.
