Anarchy Brew Co. to host craft beer festival at its Newcastle taproom

A Newcastle craft brewery has invited some of Britain's top brewers to a beer festival set to take over its taproom.

Friends of Anarchy Beer Fest's showcase will feature craft brewers from around the UK.

Brewers and their teams from Hull's Atmos Beers, Neptune Brewery in Liverpool and Brew York are among the experts showcasing their beers at the festival, held in Anarchy Brew Co's taproom in Walkergate on Saturday, August 17.

Newcastle's Stu Brew, County Durham's McColl's Brewery and Northumberland's The First & Last Brewery are among the local craft beer producers who will be serving at the festival.

Simon Miles, co-owner of Anarchy Brew Co. said: "Since Dawn and I set up our brewery in 2012, the UK craft beer scene has been flourishing, and we wanted to show as much of that as we can to everyone in the North East. Being able to work with our amazing team at Anarchy, whilst also bringing like-minded craft breweries to the area to share their passion for beer is a real privilege."

Spirits from Hepple Gin and Durham Distillery and Voodoo Brew Vodka  will also be served, along with Marlish soft drinks.

Festival organiser Daisy Turnell, Marketing Manager at Anarchy Brew Co. said "Since starting at Anarchy back in February I've wanted to work together with more fantastic breweries across the UK, and our taproom is the perfect place to do this. It's great to be part of the craft beer community and to be able to bring beer fans together, giving more people the chance to meet many of the amazing brewers we know and love."

Domestique, The Feed Zone and Rib & Rub will be serving food, while Newcastle's Little Buildings team will curate the music, with Fast Blood, Cubs, and Arms & Hearts on the bill.

Tickets are available through Ticketweb , priced at £5 per session. The 12pm - 4pm session is family-friendly, while the 5.30pm - 10pm slot is for over 18s.
