The countdown has begun for the wedding of the year as Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani gets ready to take the plunge with his longtime love Radhika Merchant, daughter of Viren and Shaila Merchant, on Friday, July 12.
As photos and videos of the elaborate prep for the big day take social media by storm, details of the celebrations for the day have now been shared online. Keeping up with ancient Hindu Vedic traditions, news reports indicate that the meticulously planned events will begin with the auspicious 'Shubh Vivah' at the prestigious Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The grand ceremony, which will reportedly see a host of high-profile guests under one roof, will begin with a Baraat assembly and the Safa tying ceremony at 3 pm. The wedding procession will then continue to the venue where the Varmala ceremony will be held at 8 pm.
The bride and groom will then seal the deal with nuptials, also known as the Lagna Vidhi ceremony, which will be held at 9.30 pm.

Bollywood superstars and notable figures from the fields of sports, politics, business and various other dignitaries are expected to attend the grand celebrations today. Fans can expect to spot everyone from Shah Rukh Khan to Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas among many others.
Kim Kardashian and sister Khloe Kardashian, who flew into the city late last night, are also expected to join in the wedding celebrations.
The wedding celebrations will continue well into the weekend with a special Shubh Aashirwad set to be held on July 13, Saturday.
The festivities will come to a close with an extravagant wedding reception, called the Mangal Utsav, which has been scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 14. The function will be held at the Jio World Centre from 6 pm onwards.
According to reports, the dress code for the gala is 'Indian Chic'.
