The Indianapolis Colts (3-5) lost a heartbreaker in overtime on Sunday, dropping their divisional rematch with the Tennessee Titans (6-2) at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Though the Colts are turning around on a short week to host Thursday Night Football, there’s still plenty to look back at from the game that was in Week 8.
We’ll be taking a look at the offensive, defensive and special teams snap counts from the 34-31 loss.
Offense
Notes
- As expected, RT Braden Smith wasn’t on a pitch count in his return from a foot injury.
- Meanwhile, RG Chris Reed saw the majority of snaps while Mark Glowinski saw just one drive of plays.
- Despite only seeing 16 carries, RB Jonathan Taylor dominated the backfield with a season-high 74% of snaps followed by Nyheim Hines at 31% and Marlon Mack seeing just one snap.
- QB Carson Wentz played 100% of snaps again, bringing his total on the season to 99.1%.
Defense & Special Teams
Notes
- With Julian Blackmon out, veteran S Andrew Sendejo has established himself as the starter. Meanwhile, George Odum played the third-most defensive snaps of his career after Khari Willis suffered a calf injury.
- Rookie DE Kwity Paye was thrust into a larger role after Tyquan Lewis suffered a knee injury that saw him get carted off the field.
- Fellow rookie DL Dayo Odeyingbo played 22% of snaps in his debut. That was more than fellow edge rusher Kemoko Turay.
- With Xavier Rhodes and Rock Ya-Sin back from injury, Isaiah Rodgers played just two snaps on defense.
