ANA to proffer parked planes for weddings

All Nippon Airways (ANA) will begin a new service this month in which people can hold wedding ceremonies inside idled passenger planes at Haneda Airport in Tokyo.

The company aims to make use of its Boeing 777 planes, usually reserved for international flights, during a time when the number of passengers has nosedived due to the novel coronavirus crisis.

The service will offer the use of the planes' first- and business-class spaces as venues for wedding ceremonies, each event costing 1,555,000 yen including tax.

For those wishing to also hold a wedding reception after the ceremony at a restaurant inside the airport, the cost of both the ceremony and the reception, with drinks and meals included, comes to 3 million yen.

The number of attendees for either event is limited to 30 people.
