The heartbroken parents of murdered school girl Ana Kriegel planted a tree at one of her favourite spots this afternoon and told how "Ana loved this place."
Patric and Geraldine Kriegel joined with friends, family and the wider community as they placed a cherry blossom in memory of the tragic 14-year-old at the Leixlip Manor Hotel, Co Kildare.
The couple shared a quiet embrace and wiped away tears as they unveiled a bench which bears the inscription 'Forever loved. Forever cherished. Ana Kriegel."
Ana's brave mum Geraldine said: "Ana used to love coming here...She is here in spirit now, so let's remember that and come back and spend a few moments with her from time to time."
Ana's body was discovered at a derelict property in Lucan, Co Dublin on May 18, 2018 - three days after her parents reported her missing.
Earlier this month two 14-year-olds, identified in court only as Boy A and Boy B, were convicted of her murder.
Boy A was also found guilty of aggravated sexual assault. Both are awaiting sentence on July 15.
