An updated look at Seahawks injuries ahead of matchup in Arizona

The Seattle Seahawks head to Arizona Sunday to face the Cardinals in their first divisional matchup of the regular season.

Ahead of the practice week, coach Pete Carroll provided a number of player injury updates.

Left tackle Duane Brown (arm): Brown injured his biceps Sunday against the Saints and was not able to finish the game. “He’s not gonna practice full today,” Carroll stated Wednesday. “We’re gonna rest him for a day here and see how it goes. He’s a little sore but it’s not a serious injury at this point.”

Guard Ethan Pocic (neck): “Ethan’s better, he’s getting better,” Carroll told reporters. “He’s gonna get some work today. We’ll see how he responds to it.”

Running back Rashaad Penny (hamstring): Penny pulled up lame late last week and was inactive against New Orleans. “He’s gonna practice today,” Carroll said. “We’ll see how he does.”

Safety Bradley McDougald (ankle): McDougald suffered a minor ankle sprain Sunday but appears to have bounced back. “He’s fine, he’s going today,” Carroll explained. “We’ll look after him but he seems to be OK.”

Safety Tedric Thompson (hamstring): Thompson, who has been sidelined the last few outings, has finally returned to practice but will be limited at first. He will compete with Lano Hill for a starting safety spot this week.

Arizona and Seattle are set to kick off Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
