Ice fishing began today on Nielsen’s Channel off the Fox River in Port Barrington. Nielsen’s is traditionally one of the earliest spots for ice fishing.

Ice Fishing season at Hermann’s is here!!We had a couple guys out on the ice this morning reporting 2-3 inches on the back channel. They advised to stay to the left & take a big step out
They were catching bluegills, crappies & perch
