Shocked motorway police found an Uber driver parked on the hard shoulder of the M56 - watching pornography.
Officers came across the private hire vehicle on the east bound Manchester Airport spur on Sunday night.
When they checked, they found the driver was 'watching pornographic material on (their) mobile phone'.
The driver was handed Traffic Offence Report (TOR), which may result in a fine.
He will also be reported to Manchester town hall's licensing department as he was not wearing an ID badge.
Details of the incident were posted on the North West Motorway Police Facebook page.
