An opera singer from Clifton and a Dalek from Notts - your reactions to Britain's Got Talent

Ant and Dec were reunited last night as Britain's Got Talent returned to our screens - and the first episode of the new series featured a stunning operatic performance from a Clifton student along with a bizarre audition from a singing Dalek from Nottinghamshire.

First up was 18-year-old Faith Tucker, a student from Clifton, who told the cameras she was inspired by Beyonce and Britney Spears.

Then, she exploded into a dramatic operatic performance which wowed both the judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams, and the audience alike.

Faith, who had her nurse mum, security worker dad and her nan in the audience, was handed a 'yes' vote from all four judges.

Despite blowing the roof off the London Palladium, what did viewers think on the night?

Next was 45-year-old Ron from Nottinghamshire, who has the very bizarre talent of singing while dressed as a Dalek from Doctor Who.

What was even more bizarre was the fact he sang 'Don't worry, be happy' by reggae-legend Bob Marley - much to the judges' dismay, as he was handed four 'no' votes.

The viewers also didn't take to the performance, either.

Er OK...

'We are finished'

'A cry for help'

The bar has been raised - but not by the Dalek
