An old church is going up for auction for £35k and you could live in it

A rare opportunity has cropped up to turn an old stone church into your new home - and it comes at a bargain price.

The historic Mount Zion Methodist Church in Gellihaf Road, Fleur De Lys in Blackwood is about to go under the virtual auction hammer from Tuesday afternoon.

And it could be yours for as little as £35,000, which has been set as the minimum opening bid by Paul Fosh Auctions.

You can bid up until December 10, and interest appears to be high in the historic property, with 111 people 'watching' the listing.

Auctioneers say it would be suitable to be transformed into either a one or two-bedroom home. The building is detached and located in a much sought-after location.

It has some lovely features to enjoy, including a garden to the rear which overlooks a stream, and has well-planted borders with flowers, shrubs and trees.

Inside it has double glazing, gas central heating, and has a kitchen, meeting room and disabled toilet facilities.

It will be sold with vacant possession, and you can put a bid in by clicking here.
