You might want to dust off your berets and brush up on your Italian, because Emily in Paris is officially going global. Netflix just dropped the first teaser for season five, and it looks like Lily Collins’ Emily Cooper has swapped the cobblestones of the French capital for the charm (and chaos) of Rome.
The new season promises drama, designer fits, and maybe even a little dolce vita redemption arc. But before you start planning your next European escapade, here’s everything we know — from the new cast lineup to when you can binge it all.
Who is returning for Emily In Paris season 5?

The wonderful Lily Collins will be returning as the almighty Emily Cooper as she sets off to start fresh in Rome.
Welp, better start calling her Emily In Rome!!!!
According to Variety, familiar faces including Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Ashley Park (Mindy), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), William Abadie (Antoine), and Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) will also be returning.

Newcomers Minnie Driver joins as Princess Jane — yes, actual royalty — and Eugenio Franceschini reprises his role as Marcello, the Italian businessman currently stealing Emily’s attention.
Bryan Greenberg as Jake, an American creative type will also be joining the cast, and Michèle Laroque as Yvette, Sylvie’s sharp-tongued friend.
Notably missing this season? Camille Razat, who won’t be reprising her role as Gabriel’s ex, Camille. The actress broke the news earlier this year on her Instagram with some behind the scenes photos of her and the cast.

“After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris,” she wrote in the caption.
“This character has meant a lot to me, and I feel that her storyline has naturally come to an end. It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons.
“I leave the show with nothing but love and admiration for the cast, crew, and fans who have supported us along the way. Thank you for the beautiful ride.”
The news of Razat’s rumoured departure from the series came as a shock following disparaging comments their co-star Lucas Bravo, aka hot chef Gabriel, made about the show.
Just after the September 2024 premiere of season four, Bravo told the French publication Le Figaro that he felt the on-screen relationship between his character Gabriel, portrayed alongside Collins’ character Emily, was “archaic”.
“People see this mechanism coming from miles away, and I don’t want to be part of a cog that tends not to consider the intelligence of the audience,” he said.

After that absolute sledge, he revealed he was done with the show.
“Life is short. It takes five months to shoot this series. Do I want to sacrifice them by telling something that does not stimulate me?” he said.
“I don’t really have any freedom [with Emily In Paris]. And as people are starting to give it to me elsewhere, I am getting a taste for it.”
However, by the time season five was confirmed in April 2025, it was revealed that Bravo was returning to the series.
I’m sure that would have made things v awkward on set!
What can we expect in Emily In Paris season 5?
When we last left Emily, she’d just been asked to lead Agence Grateu’s new Rome office and had sparked a relationship with Marcello (Francheshini).
“Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work/life balance,” Collins told Tudum.
“We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time.”

Meanwhile, Gabriel headed to Italy in a last-ditch effort to win Emily back after Camille ended their engagement due to his feelings for Emily.
“Unfortunately, Gabriel has to deal with the repercussions of his choice,” she says.
Juicy, right?!
Is there a trailer for Emily In Paris season 5?
Netflix released the new teaser on October 22, 2025, showing Emily and Marcello living la dolce vita — sipping wine on terraces, zipping through Roman streets, and looking distractingly good while doing it. The trailer opens with Marcello narrating about fate as Emily embraces her new chapter.
