'An insult' - Bristol City fans hit out over Burnley offer for Josh Brownhill

Bristol City fans have hit out over Burnley's offer for Josh Brownhill.

The Clarets have reportedly offered £7m for the Robins midfielder and are said to have opened discussions with City over him.

Yet City fans are unimpressed at the mooted fee.

Pete Harper: I wouldn’t take £7m but would sell look at the poor form Flint and Pack and others had second half of season after bids came/reportedly came in for them after the cup run a few years back.

Edd Francis: £7m, is that all? For a player of his calibre....maybe they should show a little bit of respect and make it more realistic like £17million. Always selling our best players for peanuts.

Martin Davies: It would be madness to sell another of our best young players when we're on the cusp of pushing for promotion. The fact that we won without him yesterday is no indication of how vital he is to the team. £7m is an insult to him and to the club.

Richard Angell: Provided all of the money is used + whatever we wish to use from what’s going left of the Webster and Lloyd Kelly money to bring in a proven goalscorer, and “not one for the future” we have enough midfielders to cope with his potential loss.

Darren Young: If we sell for £7m we want shooting!

GB: Fair price for a very average footballer that doesn’t exactly make us world beaters when on the pitch.

Matt Street: Take it. Buy a midfield general.

Steve Bibbing: Is there any reason why we shouldn't be asking for Webster level of money for him? He's just as important to us as he was.
