Last October, Four Seasons – the luxury hotel group with over 100 properties worldwide – and NetJets – owners of the world’s largest private jet fleet – announced an exclusive, limited-time partnership with three bespoke itineraries available through July 18.
Whether you decide to ski the slopes of Jackson Hole and Vail, discover the tiny island of Lanai’s unsung treasures, or immerse yourself in one of Western Europe’s most beloved cities, two things are certain: you’ll be granted access to local experiences many can only dream of, and every moment will be meticulously planned by a dedicated Four Seasons Director of Guest Experience.

But if you think this type of trip isn’t for you because you’ve visited the respective properties or have flown private, think again. The Jackson Hole and Vail partnership – which coincidentally is perfectly suited for this time of year – offers truly exclusive and exhilarating activities like heli-skiing custom-tailored to your skill level, and lessons with Olympian alpine skier Tommy Moe. (I didn’t realize how much of a living legend he was until my Dad texted, “Very famous. Gold medalist. How lucky you are!”)

As exceptional food and beverage are hallmarks of the Four Seasons brand, highly culinary experiences are also built into the partnership. At Vail, guests can refuel from skiing the legendary back bowls with an elegant mountaintop lunch (think freshly-grilled steaks, caviar, and oysters) prepared by chef Marcus Stewart. Back at the hotel for dinner, Stewart continues to pampers guests with a multi-course meal right in his kitchen at Flame, so you can really go behind-the-scenes at a fine dining restaurant. Cocktail aficionados will flip for the private mixology class with Steven Teaver, the hotel’s beverage director and resident mixologist. While the “Doctor of Drinks” is an ace at whipping up classics, watching him create something off-the-cuff based on your preferences is even more fun. At Jackson Hole, whiskey fans will flip for the The Whiskey Ceremony, where your guide will demonstrate how smoke can help subtly shift the spirit’s flavor profile, before you tuck into a hearty evening feast at Westbank Grill’s chef’s table.

Beyond skiing, eating, and drinking well, there’s other thoughtfully-curated and highly-localized experiences included in the package, like a guided sleigh ride through the National Elk Refuge, stargazing with astrophysicist Ryan Hennessy, and dogsledding with Winterhawk Dogsled Adventures.

Last but not least, the private jet. Because NetJets’ fleet is so varied, you can pick which aircraft is best-suited for your needs. For our short flight from Jackson Hole to Vail, we flew on a Challenger 650. It was my first time on a private aircraft, and as fun as I’d imagined. But the best part was not having to worry about anything (like checking in, security, luggage), except for enjoying myself. As I curled up in my leather seat and sipped on champagne while gabbing away with a girlfriend, I realized about how this unique partnership between Four Seasons and NetJets truly embodies the popular saying: the sky’s the limit.
