An inside look at Eintracht Frankfurt: Why Luka Jovic might not be Chelsea's biggest threat

Chelsea take on Eintracht Frankfurt tomorrow night in the Europa League semi-final first leg as they look to take a step closer to booking their place in Baku.

The Blues have had a pretty easy run of things throughout the competition so far, although they made hard work of Slavia Prague in the quarter-finals.

However, with Eintracht sitting fourth in the Bundesliga table and having stunned Benfica in the previous round, this is going to be anything but a comfortable two matches for Maurizio Sarri's side.

So what can Chelsea expect from the German side? football.london spoke to Bild's Eintracht Frankfurt report Yannick Huber to get the latest.

Eintracht Frankfurt boss reveals how they will stop Eden Hazard in Europa League tie

What will be Eintracht’s game plan?

I think that the team is normally a completely offensive team, however in a great game like this then Adi Hutter knows exactly what he has to do.

The defence must be solid throughout the match. I think that the team will be positive, however, and not being scared of Chelsea.

Can Eintracht exploit Chelsea defensively?

Without Antonio Rudiger, who plays almost every game, I don’t know if it will be much easier as Eintracht have a problem with Ante Rebic is missing and Luka Jovic is not in the top form in the last games.

He has scored 25 goals in the season, but he has not scored in the last four games. I don’t know if that means he needs more rest, or if it is just a short time for a young player to not score.

But maybe in the great games he will be back to top form.

Chelsea player ratings: Juan Castillo bright in 3-1 UEFA Youth League final loss to Porto

What are the fans like and what will the atmosphere be like?

It is a great strength of Eintracht in the Europa League this season, like having a 12 man for the team.

It was so loud in the quarter-final against Benfica, I have never heard that before.

It is impressive how Eintracht lifts in the Europa League. A lot of teams might think that the Europa League is a competition for ‘losers’ and that the Bundesliga is more important.

But the last German team to win the UEFA Cup, now the Europa League, was Schalke in 1997, so the whole nation is looking at Frankfurt now.

That is special for this team because they would never have expected to be in this position and get to the semi-final.

Champions League hopes

Eintracht still have a chance to get into the Champions League through the Bundesliga, but it will be tough. They have Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday and then Bayern Munich in two weeks.

Leverkusen are direct opponents for Eintracht for the top four places, so it is going to be a very difficult match.

The player Chelsea should look out for - apart from Luka Jovic

Filip Kostic has been the best player in the last games. He plays like a number ten, but playing out on the left.

He gets so much action on his side that he is so important. He gets so many touches and usually is the man that things go through

The most impressive thing about him is that every cross he puts in, it is never blocked. He is always able to get the ball into the box.
