An Indian food festival is popping up at the beautiful Arley Hall this summer

The grounds of Cheshire's magnificent Arley Hall will be transformed into the streets of Delhi this summer, as a pop-up food and drink festival rolls into town.

The Indian Summers festival will bring street food, cocktails, family-friendly activities and live entertainment to the north west.

Taking place over a July weekend, the festival will celebrate Indian food and culture in the great British outdoors.

Visitors will be able to soak in the atmosphere in the shadow of the Grade II-listed stately home, which has been used as Tommy Shelby's home in hit series Peaky Blinders over the years.

Seven Indian street food stalls as well as some other artisan traders will make up Khanawala Street, which hopes to replicate the buzz and architecture of Delhi and Mumbai.

According to organisers, 'the UK has never seen anything like it before'.

Everything from kebabs, wraps and burgers, to Indian curries and snacks will be on offer, alongside stone-baked pizzas and churros.

A cocktail van, gin bar and Cobra beer stand will be on hand for adults.

A 'Kidchella' children's zone will be built on the festival site too, where little ones can play in a giant sandpit, ride around the fairground rides, visit donkeys, attend a dance class or learn some circus skills.

Tamasha - or live performances - will take place, including an Indian drummer band and festival favourite Mr Wilson's Second Liners.

There'll be a Bollywood dance party, live performances, and a free yoga class on the programme.

Indian Summers will take place at Arley Hall Gardens on July 3 and 4 between 10am and 6pm.

Tickets are on sale now at indiansummersfest.com, priced at £10 for adults or £5 for children.
