An important update on Georgia 5-star QB Brock Vandagriff

Brock Vandagriff, the five-star Prince Avenue state champion, suffered an apparent injury in the middle of his title run.

The five-star Georgia signee suffered an in-season PCL tear that worsened over the course of the year, despite playing in all of Prince Avenue’s games.

Vandagriff led the team to a championship Monday at CenterParc Stadium in Atlanta and met with Georgia team physicians on Tuesday to discuss a plan for surgery.

Per Prince Avenue coach and father Greg Vandagriff, the senior will “have to go through and check some stuff and see where he is” with team doctors…

However, Vandagriff is expeted to recover quickly after surgery and join the Bulldogs for spring practice.

“I’ll have a little a surgery, but I think recovery is about one to two weeks on crutches and I’ll be ready for spring,” said Vandagriff.

Luckily for Georgia, that means the incoming freshman will be good to go for the start of next season. Current starter JT Daniels is expected to return to Athens for another season under center, but Vandagriff’s status will become crucial if Daniels does decide to declare for the draft or get injured.
