It's a job many of us probably dreamed about as a child – but perhaps never thought was possible.
Well, a super-exciting careers event which tells people how they can go about actually becoming an airline pilot is coming to Edinburgh.
L3 Commercial Aviaton will be talking to people in the city about their airline academy on Saturday, 27 April.
Those who go along to the event, at the Novotel on Lauriston Place, will be able to chat to the careers advice team along with trainee and professional pilots.
There will be a morning session from 10am to midday and an afternoon presentation from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Those who are staging the event say it will prove invaluable for budding pilots and their families as they look to kick-start their dream career.
They add, however, that the event is only open to those who are seriously considering a career as a pilot, and their guests. Those attending must also be aged 15 and over.
L3 Commercial Aviation say they are a "global force in pilot training" with training centres and airline partners all over the world.
They insist that they are not just a flight school but they also equip people for the transition into airline employement.
