America’s legendary folk singer, songwriter and activist Joan Baez returns to Australia for a national tour. Over the last 50 years, she has released more than 30 albums and become a central figure in the cultural and political life of the United States.
Part-Spanish, part-Scottish, Baez has recorded in Spanish, English and six other languages. She’s covered songs by the Beatles, Jackson Browne, Leonard Cohen, and Bob Dylan as well as contemporary songwriters like Ryan Adams, Steve Earle and Natalie Merchant. She’s also well known for her commitment to social activism for non-violence, civil rights, human rights and environmental issues.
