A roughly two-meter-tall figure of Evangelion Unit 01 from the hit anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion is captivating visitors in the lobby of Shimanto town hall in Kochi Prefecture. The figure was created to promote the Shin Kaiyodo Evangelion figure exhibition being held at the Kaiyodo Hobby Museum Shimanto in the town. The huge Eva was made by a figure creator at the museum.
A total of about 70 institutions, both in Shimanto town and other parts of Kochi Prefecture such as Katsurahama Aquarium and Noichi Zoological Park, are cooperating in a related sticker-collecting event and offering various prizes. The event will run through Sept. 28.
