An emotional Jason Garrett delivered a heartbreaking tribute to Babe Laufenberg’s son

It’s a sad day in Dallas as former Cowboys QB Babe Laufenberg’s 21-year-old son, Luke Laufenberg, passed away after a nearly two-year battle with cancer.

Jason Garrett is really close with Babe Laufenberg and the Cowboys’ head coach fought through tears to share an emotional tribute about Luke during his brief press conference on Thursday.

Garrett talked about the fight that Luke put forth each day over the past 20 months and also about how thoughtful Luke was for others in his life, even while he was battling cancer.

Garrett spoke for just a few minutes and then left without taking any questions:

Babe Laufenberg shared this touching message about his hero:

RIP, Luke.
