An awful, blooper-filled USFL play by QB Shea Patterson led to the funniest defensive touchdown

The USFL is here in its first weekend and already there’s been some buzz with their drone and helmet cams, some quirky rules and already, there have been laughs thanks to a new Jeff Fisher meme.

But there’s also a laughable play by Fisher’s Michigan Panthers quarterback Shea Patterson.

In the second quarter, with his team down 3-0 to the Houston Gamblers, Patterson took a snap on second-and-goal, faked a handoff and … fell down. With pass-rushers heading his way, he tried to run.

And then the ball came loose. The Gamblers picked it up and took the other way. Not great football!

Oh and this happened not too much later with former Broncos first-round pick, Paxton Lynch:

Yikes.
