Craig Silverman, the tireless recorder of newspaper apologies, has come up with a beauty. A New York paper, the Syracuse Post-Standard, published a story that told how Mark F. Campbell had been charged with four driving offences, including "aggravated driving while intoxicated." In fact, noted the apology - without apparent irony - "Campbell appears in a sheriff's report that says... his car was struck by a horse... The collision resulted in no tickets."
