An amazing children's festival is coming to Dublin's Temple Bar including a baby rave

There's an amazing children's festival coming to Dublin next month to mark Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland’s national day of creativity for children and young people.

Right Here Right Now! The Ark’s Festival of Children will see a weekend of art, theatre, dance, games and film - designed by children, for children - descend on Temple Bar from 13-16 June.

From the name to what events should be included and even the artwork, children have played a vital role in developing the festival from the beginning.

Dublin's first ever community city farm opens in St Anne's Park in Raheny

The festival will include International theatre for children, a Board Games exhibition and even a fun-filled, playful baby rave experience.

A highlight will be The Right Here Right Now! Rally on 14 June at 11am in Meeting House Square where people young and old will gather to celebrate children’s rights.

And the best bit? All events will be free!

Director of The Ark Aideen Howard said: " We believe that every child has a right to art and culture so the events in Right Here Right Now! are free in order to make participation equally possible for ALL children.

Expect an energetic weekend for, by and about children."

Full details of the Cruinniú na nÓg programme will be announced shortly on  www.creativeireland.gov.ie
