An alarming Carson Wentz stat is going to make Eagles fans so sad

Avert your eyes, Philadelphia Eagles fans.

Or maybe you already know that Carson Wentz is bad without looking into the numbers. We’ve also written that the Eagles need to bench him and dived in earlier this season to show how a lot of the offense’s problems are on him.

But just how bad is he? Historically speaking, he’s actually doing something no other QB under the age of 30 has done.

Per NFL Research, Wentz is the sixth quarterback to have his passer rating drop 24 points below his combined rating from his previous three years. The names include Y.A. Tittle, Peyton Manning, Joe Theismann, Brett Favre and Mark Rypien. Four of those players retired after that season when it dropped, and Wentz is the only QB under the age of 30 on the list. But uh … lots of Hall of Famers there!

To be fair, that could mean there’s room for improvement if they can get Wentz some help. The problem is they’re going to run into cap space issues in 2021. Welp.

At least you’ve got that Super Bowl trophy from a few years ago!
