An adult Redskins fan took a football away from a young Jets fan

It’s never a good look when an adult fan makes a concerted effort to take a ball away from a kid at a sporting event. Yet, it keeps happening.

While this is generally a problem in baseball given the frequency of baseballs entering the stands, one of the most egregious violations of this unwritten fan rule came during Sunday’s Jets-Redskins game.

Jets receiver Robby Anderson made a clumsy leap into the stands at FedExField to celebrate a touchdown with a small pocket of Jets fans in the first row. As he seemingly attempted to hand the football to a young Jets fan, an adult Redskins fan could be seen snatching the ball away from the kid.

Seriously, don’t be that fan.

It was a bit of a chaotic sequence, and Anderson was only just starting his reach towards the young fan. But you can see the adult Redskins fan make sure nobody else was getting that football.

Despite getting robbed of a souvenir football, the young fan handled the entire sequence well. He continued to celebrate alongside the Jets receiver.
