'An absolute must' - Nottingham Forest fans issue January transfer message after Middlesbrough draw

Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to their side’s on Tuesday night.

The Reds had to settle for another point in the Sky Bet Championship clash at the City Ground, and are now without a win in their last three league matches.

Ryan Yates had initially given Forest the lead, but a second half penalty from Paddy McNair saw the points shared on Trentside.

The stalemate leaves Forest in fifth place in the league table, but could be leapfrogged by Sheffield Wednesday should they beat Derby County this evening.

Sabri Lamouchi and his players will now begin preparing for their next match in the Championship which sees them take on the Owls at the City Ground at the weekend.

Here is a selection of what Forest fans had to say after the final whistle, with many calling for the club to sign a striker in the January transfer window.

Jack Cyster: “We don't need a striker we need quality on the wings, Lolley turns up every so often and Ameobi and Adomah are not good enough to start if we want to go up, if we're playing 4-3-3 need more quality out wide.”

Jessica Gamble: “Don’t even know how we kept Boro in the game for so long before the penalty tbh. We’ve thrown away our chance to go 3rd, typical.”

Tim Rayner: “Not good enough again, not clinical at the last third or strong enough in defence at the moment disappointing to get 2 from what should of been at least 4 if not 6 points.”

Pearce Coulson: “We were made to look a lot better than we played tonight by Boro. Seriously lacking goal threat, should have had that all wrapped up before half time.”

David Amirabadi: “It’s looking a bit more like I said this time last year. These sort of games Forest should be winning. Another 3 points wasted.”

Jason Lowndzy James: “Need to be beating teams like this forget play-offs at this rate unless we have a miracle January transfer window we seem to be going backwards in the last month or so.”

Gary Bickmore: “It's great we are still in play-offs but we went top not so long ago albeit for 24 hours but now we are 12 points off top spot! A proven goalscorer or two is an absolute must in January window.”

Matt Chapman: “Unless Forest can get another striker and add to the squad in January then this season will end in mediocrity yet again.”
