Several Manchester United supporters have slammed United's defenders after they conceded a weak goal to fall 2-0 behind right on the stroke of half time in Saturday lunchtime's Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
Looking to head into the half time interval just 1-0 down following Eric Bailly's seventh minute error, United switched off in first half stoppage time and allowed City to double their advantage through Bernardo Silva.
Joao Cancelo, whose cross was turned in by Bailly earlier in the contest, looked set to see his latest cross be ushered out of play by United left-back Luke Shaw, but he was unaware that Bernardo was lurking with intent behind him, allowing him to sneak in and, against all of the odds, turn the ball home from the tightest of angles.
The ball bounced off the chest of David de Gea and then came a brief moment of silence from the away end, with the travelling City continent not realising the ball had gone in until Bernardo raced away to celebrate.
For United, it was a woeful goal to concede and one that almost summed up their first half performance, with it lacking very little zest and excitement.
Having given themselves a mountain to climb ahead of the half-time interval, United's supporters took to social media to slam Shaw's concentration and Harry Maguire's defending, but refused to heavily criticise De Gea.
Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some United supporters have had to say.
As you can see from the messages displayed in the Tweets above, United's fans have laid into both Maguire and Shaw, who both failed to spot the danger for the second goal.
