Amy Shark finds two people hiding on her tour bus ahead of border crossing

Australian musician Amy Shark says she found two people hiding in her tour bus attempting to cross the border into the UK.

Shark was travelling to the UK from Brussels yesterday, and told the ABC her crew discovered the two stowaways before arriving at a border crossing.

"My team found them when preparing merchandise for the show, they picked their bags up and walked out and didn't say a word," Shark said.

"I was asleep on the bus."

The Love Monster singer is currently touring Europe, and is due to play the first of three shows in the UK tomorrow.

Shark said she and her team were "fine" after the incident and were not threatened by the two people on the bus.

"It's just a scary invasion of our private space but I'm just glad we found them before the border crossing," she said.

"But they didn't threaten us or say a word, they just walked away when found.

"People do dangerous things to get a better life somewhere else. I feel for them but it definitely still gave my team a shock and a fright … (but) I understand how desperate their situation probably is."

The British Government recently sent a Royal Navy patrol ship to the English Channel to deter migrants from crossing from northern France.

At least 240 people have reached the UK in small boats since November.

The UN Refugee Agency has rejected suggestions Britain is facing a refugee crisis.
