May 26--Amy Schumer and her boyfriend, Chicago furniture designer Ben Hanisch, celebrated their six-month anniversary in Hawaii, but all is not bliss.
Schumer took to Instagram Tuesday to shut down "trolls" who criticized her appearance in a bathing suit after photos from the getaway surfaced on the Internet.
"I hope you find some joy in your lives today in a human interaction and not just in writing unkind things to a stranger you've never met who triggers something in you that makes you feel powerless and alone. This is how I look. I feel happy. I think I look strong and healthy and also like Miss Trunchbull from 'Matilda.' Kisses," Schumer wrote.
Schumer, 34, and Hanisch went public with their relationship nearly six months ago, but she said she's saving the story of how they met for her book, "The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo," due out Aug. 16. The couple has attended various awards shows and professed their love for each other.
"Six months with this babe and I couldn't be any happier," Hanisch posted last week on Instagram with a picture of the couple.
Schumer's Comedy Central show "Inside Amy Schumer" airs 9 p.m. Thursdays.
