April 25--Comedian Amy Schumer said her boyfriend, Chicago furniture designer Ben Hanisch, had only seen stand-up comedy once and barely knew of her when they started dating.
In her new interview with Vanity Fair magazine, Schumer wouldn't reveal how she and Hanisch met. She said she is saving that story for her book, "The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo," due out Aug. 16.
Schumer, 34, went public with her relationship with Hanisch in January. The couple has been photographed at awards shows and on vacation.

Schumer also talked to Vanity Fair about her close relationship with sister Kim Caramele, who worked for a few years as a psychologist at Oak Forest and Kankakee schools. She's now Schumer's road manager and social media monitor.
"I'd go to all her (stand-up) shows," Caramele said. "I was really the liaison between her and the venues. I'd talk to the venue, make sure that everything was OK, that she had everything she needed, that the house was opening on time. Which is funny, as one thinks back on it, because usually when you see people and their managers, they don't look like me."
"Inside Amy Schumer" airs 9 p.m. Thursdays on Comedy Central. Schumer, who was nominated for a best actress Golden Globe for her 2015 movie "Trainwreck," is set to appear in the upcoming drama "Thank You for Your Service."
