Amy Schumer's Instagram posts about motherhood are just as great as her pregnancy ones

When Amy Schumer was pregnant, she posted photos of herself devouring beignets to curb her pregnancy cravings, vomiting on the side of the road, walking 138 steps in a day and charting her experience of hyperemesis gravidarum.

But Schumer's realness didn’t stop after she gave birth to son Gene Attell Fischer earlier this month.

Gene was born hours apart from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son, Archie Harrison. "I think we’re, like, to the day the same amount pregnant," Schumer said of the Duchess in her Netflix special, where she jokingly called Meghan her pregnancy "nemesis."

Now that Gene has arrived, the comedian has continued to give us the content we crave, highlighting the most glamorous parts of motherhood – breast pumps and post-birth bathroom runs included.

She introduced him in the most Amy Schumer way

New kid, who dis?

A post shared by @ amyschumer on

“New kid, who dis?” was one of her first posts after Gene was born.

She got a little emotional about the women in her life (but kept it real with the hashtags)

Ok here’s my post baby annoying post and my takeaway from pregnancy. Women are the shit. Men are cool and whatever but women are fucking warriors and capable of anything. I was lucky enough to get to have a doula. Her name @domino_kirke @carriagehousebirth what do doulas do? I don’t totally know But what she did was make me and Chris feel totally secure and supported throughout my pregnancy and the birth process. I really recommend getting one if you can. Doctor Brill and all the nurses and pediatricians at Lenox Hill and all the other hospitals i spent time in this year, thank you for everything. I did Pilates with strong women and went for walks. I threw up violently and felt sick mostly every day of my pregnancy. Hyperemesis is real and it’s awful. But fuck, what they say is true. The second you give birth it’s gone. @hgmoms has the best research I found on the condition The only thing that helped me with my nausea was products from @thelordjones I learned that globally 1 in 5 births take place without the assistance of a skilled birth attendant. @everymomcounts is a great place to donate $250 equips a midwife with a bag of medical equipment needed to provide care to hundreds of women and babies in Guatemala. All my friends. Friends I’ve had for 30 years or people who encouraged me to “keep going” or telling me “it will be worth it”. Thank you. Every woman I encountered is so willing to help and advise you and I felt all their strength. And you were right. Thank you ladies from my family. Chris, Gene and of course Tatiana #titsleaking #wearingadiaper

She presents an unfliltered approach to life post-partum

Milf alert 1 o’clock

A post shared by @ amyschumer on

“Milf alert 1 o’clock,” she captioned a photo of herself on the toilet.

She admits to not spending every waking minute with Gene

“Fully neglecting a newborn to read #howardsterncomesagain it’s out now!!!" she wrote.

She's had some wild nights - with a breast pump

“Guys what are we doing tonight?" she asked Stassi Schroeder. The Vanderpump Rules star responded to the breast pump picture with, "An OOTD for the ages."

She got back to work...

“Pic from tonight by @hewasfunny I’m back!” she captioned a photo performing at a comedy club.

Despite some negative Instagram comments

“Sending out love to the moms shaming me for doing standup last night!" she captioned a picture of her pumping.
