It didn't take long for news of Meghan Markle's surprise appearance at the Fashion Awards to hit social media on Monday night.
The Duchess of Sussex came on stage to award Clare Waight Keller, creative director of fashion house Givenchy, with Designer of the Year.
British designer Waight Keller has had an extraordinary year, winning the much-coveted gig to design Markle's wedding ceremony dress back in May, and dressing the Duchess several times since.
Fashion brand Givenchy has also just opened its very first standalone store in London.
Among those following the Duchess's appearance online was comedian Amy Schumer, who shared her very own edited shot of Meghan's black Givenchy dress:
Schumer, who is due around the same time as Meghan Markle, has jokingly described the Duchess as her "pregnancy nemesis."
"So maybe I'm feeling competitive" she told InStyle recently, "like, 'Oh, Meghan looks better than me and she has a tiny small bump and she's wearing high heels and I already look 10 months pregnant and I've been wearing flats for the last four years'."
Among those to appreciate Schumer's humour was Gwyneth Paltrow, who wrote "amazing" under the picture.
