Amy Schumer has laughed off the very rude jokes people have been making about her son's name.
The comedian, 38, was forced to change her 11-month-old boy Gene's name because she accidentally called him something that sounds like "genital".
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, a red-faced Amy insisted that it was an honest mistake but managed to see the funny side.
She hadn't clocked that making Gene's middle name Attell meant that his first two names together sounded like a body part.
To make matters worse, adding on his dad's surname Fischer made it sound like he'd been named after something much ruder.
All together, Gene Attell Fisher sounds like genital fissure, a tear in the intimate area.
On her Instagram account Amy shared a picture of herself and babydaddy Chris Fischer frowning as they reacted to the news.
She captioned the post: "Oh, like you never named your kid Genital fissure!!!!!!!"
Speaking on the podcast 3 Girls, 1 Keith earlier this week, Amy said she had legally changed her son's name.
The pair had named their boy after Amy's close friend and fellow comic Dave Attell but he will go by the name of Gene David to avoid any confusion.
Dave had starred alongside her in hit movie Trainwreck as the homeless man living outside her apartment.
It's believed Gene's first name is a tribute to late actor Gene Wilder.
Amy explained: "Do you guys know that Gene, our baby's name is officially changed?
"It's now Gene David Fischer. It was Gene Attell Fischer, but we realised that we, by accident, named our son 'Genital'."
