Amy Parsons remembered as 'kindest soul' as friends raise money to return body to Melbourne

Amy Parsons was allegedly killed by Roderick Deakin-White in London.

Melbourne woman Amy Parsons, who was allegedly killed by her partner in London, has been remembered by friends as "the most beautiful person", as a crowdfunding page to bring her body home has passed its fundraising goal.

London's Metropolitan Police Service said they found Ms Parsons dead after they were called to her apartment last Friday, following "concerns for the welfare of a female resident".

Her partner, Roderick Deakin-White, 37, was arrested on the same day and charged on Sunday, before appearing in court on Monday.

At 7:00am on Wednesday, the Bringing Amy Home fundraising page had raised nearly $22,000 to assist in travel costs to return Ms Parsons's body home to Australia.

The page had been aiming to raise $20,000 to fly her parents Leonie and Michael and her sister Eve to the United Kingdom.

Ms Parsons had been living in the United Kingdom for several years and had no family in the country when she died, according to the fundraising site.

She was remembered as "the kindest soul", with "friends all over the world".

"She was the most beautiful person. Amy was adventurous, intelligent, kind hearted, down-to-earth and loved by all who knew her," the site reads.

Extra money raised will be donated to domestic violence prevention, the fundraiser said.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said it was providing consular assistance to the family following Ms Parsons's death.
