Amy Macdonald ditches fancy rider at TRNSMT festival as she has to pay for it

Amy Macdonald says she has ditched a fancy rider at TRNSMT festival because she realised she would end up having to pay for it herself.

A rider is the list of backstage demands that an artist normally requests in their dressing room like blue M and M's, or 100 doves and twenty kittens - as Mariah Carey supposedly requests.

Amy, who recently celebrated her 34th birthday, says it has been fifteen years since she played T in the Park andadmitted backstage that she had given up on all the fancy stuff because it cost too much.

She said: "People don't realise you have to pay for your own rider so as you get older it gets less and less.

We've got Irn Bru and some crisps and chocolate and that's just about it."

Of course, the singer who is known for her expensive taste in cars clearly know where she want to spend her money.

She admitted she had been seen driving her Lamborghini last night in Glasgow following her pre show party at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut.

She said: "I came off stage and tried to get home as quick as possible at quarter past one in the morning. I was keen to get home but not rushing."

Amy is so glad to be finally playing and stormed the stage at TRNSMT as her footballer hubby Richard Foster watched on.

She said:"My friends and family are all here and were meeting from midday so are probably causing trouble. I'll go see them after. I've got a festival in Germany after but I can hang with my pals for a bit."

During her set Amy got the crowd cheering and admitted she was doing her bit for women in the world of rock n roll.
