Amy Huberman put herself out on the line to bag guests for new series of Finding Joy

Amy Huberman admitted she put herself out on
the line to bag guests for the new season of Finding Joy.

Lifting the lid on the series, which returns next month, the writer teased comic Pat Shortt will appear as well as her friends.

Following on from Laura Whitmore’s debut in season one, Amy, 41, said: “There are a few [cameos].

“I mentioned that Pat Shortt is in an episode and there’s a few more dotted throughout. We want to keep it as a surprise as I think that’s fun when you’re watching and somebody pops up.”

However, the Dubliner – who finished filming
before Christmas with post-production ending in March – admitted it can be daunting asking stars to take part.

Amy said: “You kind of put yourself out on the line as well.”

Listing the cast of Derry Girls as her dream
line-up, the actress – known for her work in The Clinic – admitted she feels blessed to have famous pals.

She added: “There’s definitely people I would love to work with and a lot of my peers and friends I have been lucky enough to work with because the industry is small enough here.

“There is definitely a wishlist. All the Derry Girls are brilliant and actually Louisa Harland [plays Orla] in series one, Sharon Horgan, I got to do a short with her that she produced and I’d like to act with her even in a scene of something. We have just got a wealth of talent.”
