AN East Dunbartonshire MP who was hospitalised after suffering a brain hemorrhage has been discharged.
Amy Callaghan wrote on Twitter: "After 4 months in hospital, today I've been discharged. I'm coming home. "To the miracle team at @NHSGGC PDRU - now my second family - thank you
"I can never, ever repay you. "I was wheeled in here. Now I'm walking out. I'm just getting started too."
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon retweeted her tweet writing: "Best news of the day. Sending love."
The SNP MP collapsed at her home earlier this summer and underwent surgery for her condition.
A statement from her office said the 28-year-old was in a stable condition and was "now beginning the process of recovery".
It added that Ms Callaghan's collapse was "related to a previously manageable medical condition".
Ms Callaghan has previously spoken about being diagnosed with melanoma aged 19, but has been cancer-free for six years.
