Georgia had a bye week this weekend to prepare for Tennessee and the start of a difficult SEC schedule, following a September 21st win over Notre Dame.
In the most recent Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports, the coaches kept Georgia at No. 3 in the poll, where the Bulldogs have been since the start of the college football season.
At the top, though, we witnessed our first movement of the season. Clemson, which has been ranked No. 1 all year, struggled against North Carolina and won 21-20 after the Heels elected to go for two points upon scoring a touchdown with just over a minute to go. UNC fell short of pulling off the upset, but it did enough to knock Clemson from the top spot.
The new top-4 is:

2. Clemson
3. Georgia
4. Oklahoma
Ohio State, after delivering a beatdown on Nebraska, looked impressive enough to jump LSU, which also had a bye this weekend.
Georgia’s big win over Notre Dame remains impressive as the Fighting Irish’s defense kicked it into gear to beat the then-ranked No. 18 Virginia Cavaliers 35-20.

6. LSU
7. Auburn
8. Florida
9. Wisconsin
10. Notre Dame
Looking ahead to Georgia’s future opponents, the Dawgs have matchups slated with two more Top 10 teams in Florida and Auburn.
However, one of those will likely fall in the rankings next Sunday after both those schools play each other this weekend.
The next weekend, Florida plays LSU. I’d expect the Gators to have at least two losses by the time they play Georgia on November 2nd.
