Amway Coaches Poll released – Georgia moves up

Following Georgia’s 21-0 win over Kentucky, the Dawgs are now 6-1 and 3-1 in conference play.

Georgia fell from No. 3 to No. 10 in the Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports, after the loss to South Carolina last weekend. However,   with a little help from Wisconsin, which lost to Illinois on Saturday, Georgia moved up a spot to No. 9.

Florida, Georgia’s next opponent (Nov. 2nd), also moved up from No. 9 to No. 8. The Gators beat South Carolina in Columbia yesterday. It was a close game for the first half, but Florida pulled away in the second half.

Alabama beat Tennessee and stayed put at No. 1.

No. 2 Clemson took care of Louisville while No. 3 LSU delivered a beat-down on Mississippi State.

No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Oklahoma both had lopsided as well.

But Wisconsin fans are feeling the same way we felt last weekend after the Badgers’ undefeated season was derailed by Illinois in a 24-23 loss. Jonathan Taylor rushed for 132 yards in the loss, which moved his team from No. 6 to No. 13.

Here’s the top-ten:

1. Alabama

2. Clemson

3. LSU

4. Ohio State

5. Oklahoma

6. Penn State (beat No. 17 Michigan)

7. Notre Dame

8. Florida

9. Georgia

10. Auburn
