Eyes were directed skywards in Bristol last night as residents young and old marvelled at a mass hot air balloon ascent.
But there was one balloon that seemed to prompt particular awe. Perhaps you saw it too?
Yes, there was indeed a giant black cat prowling the city's skies - and fortunately a Bristol Live photographer was on hand to snap it.
Alongside the purrrr-fect black creature were a number of other balloons, making for delightful viewing.
Amateur photographers desperately tried to whip out their devices in time to capture the scenes overhead.

And yet while there is always something special about that most Bristol of sights, many of us just couldn't shake off the vision of that special feline.
