Actress Amruta Khanvilkar, who celebrated her birthday yesterday, had a party for her friends on Tuesday night. The actress had a ball of a time with her pals from the TV industry and her new friends that she made on the dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Talking about her big day, Amruta says, "This is the first time I have ever thrown a birthday party in my life. And after Jhalak, I am getting a lot of love from people, so I had to bring in all my friends and celebrate this day with them. It was great fun. The theme was bling and we all danced the night away. I am so glad that everyone showed up. It was amazing to reunite with old friends and also have my new buddies from Jhalak."
Sharing about how she usually celebrates her birthday every year, Amruta says, "Every year my birthday ritual is to celebrate it privately with my family, my husband, mom and my sister. I remember during my dating days, my husband Himanshu (Malhotra) made my birthdays very special. For him, my birthday was the most important occasion in the year. It's been many years now but even today, he finds a way to make it special for me."
This year has been a great one for Amruta. She says, "This year has been very special for me because in April my film Chadramukhi, in which I played a Dracula's role, released. It received so much appreciation from the Hindi as well as Marathi industry. After doing Jhalak, I received more love. I am extremely grateful and humbled by the good wishes coming my way."
