AMRITSAR: Newly elected MLA from Amritsar East assembly constituency Jeevanjot Kaur on Tuesday conducted a surprise check at Verka milk plant, government hospital, and police station to check the attendance and their functioning.
At Verka milk plant she checked the entry and attendance register and held discussions with general manager Sukhdev Singh and other senior staff about the issues faced by them and also ensured to resolve them at the earliest.
At the government hospital, Verka, she took stock of the facilities provided to the patients and expressed displeasure upon finding poor sanitization, especially in the bathrooms and the female ward of the hospital.
Similarly at Verka police station, the AAP’s MLA interacted with the staff and expressed hope that with the change in the regime, the corruption would also be eradicated.
Meanwhile, AAP’s senior leader Sanjay Singh claimed that the party would not only fulfill the promises made with the people of Punjab but would do much more than that. “In Delhi AAP not only fulfilled its promises made to the people but did much more than that, similarly in Punjab , AAP, Arvind Kejriwal, and Bhagwant Mann would do more than what they had said” claimed Sanjay.
Sanjay was in Amritsar for a court appearance in a defamation case filed against him by former Akali minister Bikram Singh Majithia.
