Chandigarh: Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amit Shah will tour the entire country to monitor the party’s campaign and also meet district heads and workers of the BJP to discuss organizational matters.

Party national secretary Tarun Chugh said the BJP would launch a ‘Maha Sampark’ campaign across the country from 1 May to 31 July. This would be followed by a ‘Maha Parshikshan’ campaign beginning 1 August and ending on 31 October, Chugh said in a statement released on Sunday.

Shah would tour the entire country to monitor the campaign, Chugh said. He is scheduled to be in Himachal Pradesh on 1 May before going to Punjab, where he would address 15,000 active members of the party during a workshop to be held at Jalandhar.

Chugh said the party would conduct workshops across the country during the campaign and active members of the party would be trained to raise awareness about the achievements and policies of the BJP and the government.

During the campaign, Shah would meet each and every district president of the party and discuss organizational matters with them, he said. “The motive of this interaction would be to effectively and convincingly convey to the masses the programmes and policies of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.

After the ‘Maha Sampark’ campaign, the party will hold workers’ training camps across the country for three months from 1 August to 31 October. These camps would be held in all the mandals.

Chugh said an elaborate programme had been chalked out by Shah to further strengthen the party even as it has already achieved the honour and distinction of being the world’s largest political party.
