Amir Riep, Jahsen Wint officially indicted on charges of rape, kidnapping

Former Ohio State players Amir Riep and Jahsen Wint have been officially indicted on two counts of felony rape, and one count of felony kidnapping. It occurred Friday by Grand Jury and carries a possibility of 33 years of prison and registration as sex offenders if convicted.

The next step in the process is a scheduled arraignment on March 6 in Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.

The two were arrested and charged with kidnapping and rape on February 11 stemming from a police report filed by a 19-year old female. The police report was filed as a result of an incident on February 4 according to public records. Both men were almost immediately dismissed from the Ohio State football team by Ryan Day.

Both men are also currently free on bail and plan to enter not guilty pleas according to their attorneys.

We’ll continue to follow up on this as news cycles through.
