Amir Khan has revealed he spent £100,000 on his daughter Lamaisah's second birthday party.
Khan’s 24-year-old wife Faryal Makhdoom Khan spent three months planning the 250-guest event which included Disney princesses, Peppa Pig and a real-life ballerina.
The party was held at Bolton Wanderers football stadium in Khan's hometown and also featured a giant cake and a carousel.
“My wife did an amazing job,” the 29-year-old boxer told Hello! Magazine. “I was busy training when she was planning this, but every day I was getting crazy bills and thinking, 'What's this for?’”
“Every penny spent on my daughter is worth it, though,” he added. “After all, all this hard work I do is for her, for my kid.”
“I wanted it to be something really grand,” Ms Khan also explained. ”Now I'm not doing anything until she's 16.“
Khan is one of the wealthiest active boxers and Celebrity Net worth estimates his net worth at $30 million.
Khan rose to prominence in 2004 when he won Silver for Great Britain at the Olympic games in Athens, becoming Britain's youngest boxing medalist at the age of 17. At the beginning of May, Khan jumped up two weight classes to fight Canelo Álvarez, one of the toughest fighters in his weight division but was knocked out. In May 2016, Khan was ranked by The Ring magazine as the world's second best welterweight.
