Amir Khan makes bold fashion choice as he steps out with stunning wife in Manchester

Amir Khan wasn't trying not to be seen as he headed out into Manchester. The boxing champ hit the town alongside his stunning wife Faryal Makhdoom. The pair were snapped in the city centre as they attended the launch of a brand new restaurant.

They joined a few other famous faces at Sakky Samba, a huge new all-you-can-eat sushi and steak restaurant which has opened in the former Artisan and Manchester House sites in Spinningfields. And it looked like quite the party with Brazilian dancers greeting the guests.

The restaurant, which serves up a fusion of Brazilian and Japanese cuisine, welcomed its first guests on Tuesday night (July 26), including Amir and Faryal. The pair looked closer than ever as they arrived at the launch even, with Farayl linking arms with her mn as he smiled for the awaiting camera.

They then stood arm-in-arm as they posed for a series of snaps. Amir, 35, pulled out all the stops as he donned a striking white shirt that had been adorned with colourful crowns and featured a bright orange inside the collar. He toned down the look with a pair of navy blue jeans and chose a pair of maroon and white trainers.

Meanwhile, Faryal looked as glamourous as ever, wearing a black, half blazer dress with a plunging neckline, a sheer hem with lace detail and a matching black belt that cinched in her waist. She added minimal silver jewelry with a touch of the same colour added to her black heels while she held on to a clutch bag.

As well as posing together, the pair were seen with the showgirls outside the restaurant who were wearing colourful, barely-there feathered outfits. Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd was also in attendance with girlfriend Hanni and while model Rhian Sugden and The Apprentice star Amy Anzel also joined the party.

Earlier this month Amir showed off his brand new Manchester mansion complete with a gym, lake, and children’s play area. In a video posted to TikTok, Amir is reported by the Express to have said: “At the house, Manchester, beautiful. Beautiful got my gym right there don’t think I’ll be using that now we’re retired. What do you think guys? The back is amazing, we can have a lot of barbeques with the weather being so nice. Do a few barbeques and stuff.

"I don’t think I’ll be swimming but we’ve got the barbeque set and everything. Hot tub there it’s got everything really. Kids play area down there, obviously we’ve got to make sure the kids are going to be happy."

It comes after Amir officially announced his retirement after a glittering 17-year career in professional boxing back in May. The sportsman had a 10-year amateur career before turning professional in 2005, going on to become the light welterweight world champion.

The 35-year-old was stopped in the sixth round of his latest fight with bitter rival Kell Brook at the AO Arena in Manchester in February and later confirmed that he was stepping away from the sport. In the meantime, the second series of his reality show with influencer wife Faryal returned for a second series.

Meet The Khans: Big in Bolton returned to BBC Three in April after the first series had six million viewing requests on BBC iPlayer. It came after Amir hit the headlines after being robbed at gunpoint while in London. He alleged that a custom-made £72,000 Franck Muller watch was stolen in the terrifying incident.
