Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan, who received a death threat over the weekend, was spotted returning to his Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments on Monday afternoon.

Amidst the threat to his life, the actor was clicked walking tall as he arrived at his home, which had an additional police force and security personnel deployed in the area. Our ETimes paparazzi also caught footage of a police van arriving at the actor's residence and getting a debriefing in the premises.

Salman and his father Salim Khan on Sunday received an anonymous letter threatening to kill them an official said to PTI.

Early Sunday morning, Salim was reportedly sitting on a bench at the Bandra Bandstand after a morning walk, when an unidentified man handed him a letter which mentioned a threat to kill him and his actor son, the official said.

Following the incident, an FIR was registered by Mumbai Police and a team of officers landed at the actor's home to carry out investigations.

Led by Joint Commissioner of Police Vishwas Nangre-Patil and other officers, the team queried the Khan family on a letter threatening to do a 'Moosewala' with the celeb father-son duo.

"I will comment only after getting all the preliminary information in the case," said Nangre-Patil to news portals.

Taking serious cognizance, the Bandra Police have launched their probe even as the Mumbai Police Crime Branch also started its own investigations.

The letter was signed off with some initials which the police are probing and also attempting to unravel if they are linked to any past incidents targeting the actor.

The police are also scouring CCTV footage of the area for clues and questioning locals for further leads on the threat letter.

Meanwhile, Salman has not let the threats derail his work schedule. The actor was recently attending an award show and has also been busy shooting for his movie 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali'. The actor is scheduled to head to Hyderabad for the next leg of the shoot.
