After ten years of sun, swimwear and dramatic recouplings, Love Island has produced more breakups than most viewers can count.
But against the odds, a handful of couples have turned holiday flings into lasting relationships — complete with wedding vows, growing families and life beyond the villa.
With the reality show marking its ten-year anniversary, we take a look at the unexpected pairs still going strong, proof that sometimes, love on reality TV can go the distance.
Grace Jackson and Luca Bish, All Stars 2025
Grace Jackson and Luca Bish may not have taken the crown on Love Island: All Stars, but their romance has continued to blossom well beyond the villa.
The pair, who finished as runners-up on the show's second season, struck up a connection after a slow start for Luca — but once he coupled up with Grace, the chemistry was undeniable.
Since leaving the island, the couple have remained firmly in sync, sharing glimpses of their relationship on social media and enjoying holidays together as their post-show romance goes from strength to strength.
Elma Pazar and Sammy Root, All Stars 2025
Elma Pazar and Sammy Root may have first crossed paths on The Only Way Is Essex, but it was their reunion on Love Island: All Stars that reignited the spark between them — despite a nine-year age difference.
Both familiar faces from previous seasons, the pair quickly formed a connection in the villa and ultimately finished in fifth place.
Since leaving the show, Elma and Sammy appear to have gone from strength to strength, even making a joint appearance as a couple on the latest series of TOWIE.
Uma Jammeh and Wil Anderson, Summer 2024
Uma Jammeh and Wil Anderson were one of the standout couples from season 11 of Love Island, capturing attention with their chemistry and decisive exit from the villa.
After forming a strong bond on the show in 2024, Wil’s departure prompted Uma to make a swift and heartfelt decision to leave alongside him, telling her fellow Islanders she had no interest in continuing without him.
Since then, the couple have remained firmly by each other’s side, sharing glimpses of romantic getaways and recently moving in together in London — marking a new chapter in their relationship beyond the villa.
Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie, All Stars 2024
Another love story to emerge from the All Stars series is Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie, who gave romance a second shot on the show and are thriving in life away from the cameras.
The couple celebrated Christmas together and have since traded festive jumpers for swimsuits, jetting off on a romantic getaway to five-star luxury resort, Kandima Maldives .
This year’s tropical escape mirrors last winter’s sun-soaked trip but comes with far less drama and far more love.
Molly Smith and Tom Clare, All Stars 2024
The first-ever All Stars series proved to be a game-changer for love, especially for winners Molly Smith and Tom Clare.
Despite only getting together over year ago, the couple hasn’t wasted any time making big moves in their relationship. By August, they had already purchased their first home together, marking a major milestone in their whirlwind romance.
Looking ahead, Molly and Tom are dreaming even bigger, openly sharing their hopes for marriage and starting a family in the future.
Zach Noble and Molly Marsh , Summer 2023
Molly Marsh and Zachariah Noble’s Love Island journey was far from straightforward — but it was undeniably compelling.
The pair initially struck up a connection early in the series, only for Molly to be dramatically dumped from the villa. Her unexpected return as a bombshell reignited their romance and set the stage for one of the show’s most talked-about storylines.
Despite a few bumps along the way, they made it to the final and finished in fourth place. While the couple briefly split in March 2024, they’ve since reunited and taken the next step in their relationship by moving in together.
Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, Winter 2023
Kai was first coupled with Tanyel and then Olivia, before he met Sanam in Casa Amor where he decided to recouple with her.
And their romance proved to be a winning combination as they were crowned the winners of Winter Love Island 2023.
In his exit interview, Kai said: “As soon as we get out of here, that’s when even more effort starts. You can really value someone’s time and effort when you have to put in the time and effort. That’s what I am looking forward to.”
The couple are now preparing for their upcoming nuptials in August.
Jessie Wynter and Will Young, Winter 2023
Jessie turned farmer Will’s head immediately when she entered in the villa alongside fellow Aussie bombshell Aaron.
While Aaron appearance was a flash in the pan, Jessie and Will’s romance was not as they survived Casa Amor (just about) and even told professed their love for one another.
Although they didn’t make it to the final, they left the Villa as boyfriend and girlfriend. Since then, they have enjoyed trips to the States and her native Oz to introduce Will to her parents.
Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope, 2022
Series eight proved to be a jackpot season for love, with fan favorites Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope still going strong.
After the self-proclaimed heartbreakers rekindled their romance in the villa following an explosive Casa Amor, they’ve proved their relationship is a match made in heaven.
Their flame is burning so brightly that Dami has swapped his native Dublin for London and moved in with the Aftersun contributor.
On New Year’s Day, the couple treated followers to snaps from a romantic date night. Polack showed off a lavish bouquet of red roses and a sparkling diamond bangle gifted by her smitten boyfriend, Hope, proving their bond is stronger than ever.
Millie Court and Liam Reardon, 2021
Series seven Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon may have split after just a year together, but their love story wasn’t finished. After parting ways in 2022, the pair reunited in August 2023, proving that time away from the spotlight has been a blessing for their relationship.
Reflecting on their journey, Reardon shared with the Daily Star: "We did go our separate ways last year for a number of reasons. When you're in a relationship that's so public and there's a lot of people involved, you're criticised for this and that."
Despite the pressures that initially pulled them apart, the couple seems stronger than ever, enjoying a fresh chapter away from the constant scrutiny.
Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, 2019
For five years, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury were Love Island’s ultimate power couple. As runners-up of series five, their love story captivated fans who followed their journey on social media. Together, they moved in, bought their dream home, and welcomed their daughter, Bambi, in early 2023.
Later that year, they got engaged, solidifying their fairy-tale romance.
With flourishing careers and a seemingly unshakable bond, the couple embodied the dream Love Island outcome. That’s why their split in August 2024 left fans stunned.
In her Prime Video series, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, Molly-Mae opened up about their breakup, revealing that Tommy’s drinking had been a major factor. Yet, she admitted she never believed their separation would be permanent.
The couple then sparked reconciliation speculation when they were pictured sharing a kiss on New Year’s Eve - and have since enjoyed several holidays together as they work on their relationship.
Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt, 2017
Camilla was dealt a terrible hand when she first entered the Villa in 2017, having initially been paired up with Jonny Mitchell, who memorably told her he would feel “emasculated if a girl paid” on a date.
After a few more failed connections, viewers were thrilled when model Jamie Jewitt came in to sweep her off of her feet so much so they wed in 2021 and have welcomed three kids, daughters Nell and Nora as well as son Brodie.
Jess Shears and Dom Lever, 2017
Another couple to stand the test of time is Jess Shears and Dom Lever, who paired up early on in the 2017 installment.

They are also now parents to two sons.
Cara Delahoyde and Nathan Massey, 2016

However, the chemistry between the couple was too strong to deny and they rekindled their relationship just before welcoming their first child, Freddie-George, together in 2017.
After their son’s birth, Nathan got down on bended knee at the original villa the show was filmed in 2018. They married that same year – and have since added a daughter, Delilah, to their brood in 2020.
Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, 2016

Although they didn’t win, they did become the first ever Love Island couple to walk down the aisle, just two years after their Villa stint in 2018.
Now living in Essex, the couple have since welcomed their first child– a son named Abel Jacob Bowen back in 2022 - and are expecting a baby girl iminently.
